Hometown Heroes Banners

If passing through downtown Escondido this summer, you will come across our Street Banners for the "Hometown Heroes" project. We just recently finished working on these banners for downtown Escondido. The banners feature the names and images of local men who have served in the military. The goal of the "Hometown Heroes," project is simultaneously honoring local heroes while giving people a reason to visit downtown!
The 8-foot tall banners we made, are hanging from light poles on Grand Avenue. Each banner required a sponsorship fee of $200 from relatives and friends of a service member.  The banners include a photo of the honored service member, his or her name, and the branch and era of service. They serve as a reminder of what the military service has done for our country, some of whom have given their lives. We are grateful to have been a part of this project. Check out some pictures below!
